Zeus

In painting, the skull has long been an image reminding us that even the most powerful are mortal. Zeus slices the king of the gods apart to reveal the bone behind the curly beard; before its arched niche, this small bust brings power and humility together in one face on your bookshelf.

In Zeus, a bearded head of Zeus standing before an arched niche is sliced by diagonal cuts and shifted. A skull appears between the slices; the curly hair and beard meet the bare form of the bone in the same face.

With its matte off-white surface and round base, it shows a small but powerful presence on a bookshelf, your desk, or in a display cabinet.
