David Superman

The idea that everyone carries a bolder self beneath their everyday face lies at the heart of many stories. David Superman brings this idea to a classical bust: the calm-eyed youth opens his chest to reveal the colorful crest beneath and stops hiding his own strength.

David Superman reinterprets a classical bust of a curly-haired youth in a matte white finish. The chest opens like a torn shirt; between the crack lines, a red and yellow crest appears on a blue ground.

At 43 cm tall, it sits comfortably on a bookshelf, a desk or the end of a console. Its stepped square base brings the bust closer to eye level.
