About the piece

True friendship is sifted by time; over the years, we learn who stays by our side no matter what. In No Fake Friends, the band left white at eye level carries that clear-eyed view, and the NO MORE FAKE FRIENDS lettering on the chest carries the decision made; the petrol blue bust reflects the stance of a home that opens its door only to true friends.

No Fake Friends is a David bust rendered with chest and shoulders, cloaked from head to base in matte petrol blue. A white band remains at eye level; across the chest, large white letters read "NO MORE FAKE FRIENDS".

On its stepped square base, it stands upright and crisp on an entry console, at the head of a bookcase, or on your desk. The lettering adds a contemporary, personal voice to the calm of the classical form.
