David Unreleased

A person's thoughts and memories build up layer by layer; no one can be read in full at a single glance. David Unreleased tells this idea through a face: a classical head separates into spiraling strips, and the gold tone shining between them reveals the most precious layers of the inner world.

David Unreleased is a classical young man's head with curly hair, cut in a spiral like a ribbon and separated into layers. Gold-toned lines wander across the black, marble-veined surface; the edges of the cuts gleam with gold, and between them the face can be read piece by piece.

At 20 × 20 × 30 cm, on a shelf, a desk or a console, it becomes the sculpture of a reading corner. It is cast in resin.
