About the piece

Every journey begins with a little curiosity and a small hope we carry along. In Balloon Astronaut, that hope is a gold balloon: arm outstretched, the walking astronaut seems to carry on its way across the console without a base, turning every shelf in the house into a new stop.

Balloon Astronaut is a 48 cm astronaut walking with one arm held out for balance and a gold balloon carried to the side in the other hand. The glossy silver of the jacket and boots sets up a sharp contrast with the matte black trousers, gloves, and headphones; the mirror visor reflects its surroundings.

With no base, it appears to be walking right across a console, a side table, or a bookcase shelf. Made of resin.
