About the piece

The last moment before setting off is when preparation and resolve show most clearly. This sculpture shows an astronaut in exactly that moment: straps fastened, backpack in place, the figure stands tall as a calm sign, inside the home, of being ready for every new beginning.

Standing Astronaut portrays, in detail, an astronaut standing tall and ready for a new mission: the chest unit, harness straps, backpack, and fine red stripes on the arms and legs. In white, the visor is a mirror-finish gold tone; cloud white is a warmer, cream tone.

The 58 cm height suits a console, a shelf, or a side table; the 150 cm height is displayed on the floor in an entryway or in front of a window. White comes in both heights, cloud white only in 58 cm; made of resin, together with its round base.
