Champagne Popper

Opening a bottle with a saber is known as a flamboyant tradition for celebrating victories and great days. Champagne Popper captures the first second of that ritual: saber raised, bottle tucked under its arm, the figure is a reminder that every success at home deserves to be marked with ceremony.

Champagne Popper is a duck in a top hat, preparing to open the green bottle tucked under its arm with a saber. The body's slight sideways lean captures the very start of the movement; the chrome jacket, silver gloves and copper-toned feet return the light in different tones.

At 40 cm tall, it stands on top of a bar cabinet, beside a wine rack or on a celebration table. Cast in resin, it weighs 6.5 kg; in purple, blue and gold.
