Saluting Astronaut

An open palm is a greeting that even two people without a common language understand at first glance. In this sculpture, the astronaut offers exactly that greeting: a gold-toned balloon rising on its string in one hand, the other palm open, saying a small hello from the shelf to everyone who comes home.

A gold balloon rising on a fine string in one hand, an open palm raised in greeting with the other: Saluting Astronaut is a 42 cm tabletop sculpture with a hooded jacket, headphones fitted over the helmet, and a backpack. It stands on a white, angular rock base.

Its details come through best at eye level, on a console, your desk, or a bookcase shelf. The resin figure is offered in gold, silver, and blue; in blue, the jacket is petrol blue and the helmet and headphones are gold-toned.
