Moon Balloon Astronaut

As children, many of us thought the Moon was close enough to reach out and hold. Moon Balloon Astronaut makes that wish come true: the astronaut holds a small cratered moon, the same color as its suit, by a string like a balloon, and with arms open brings it into your room.

In Moon Balloon Astronaut, the balloon in the figure's hand is a small moon: its surface carved like craters, its color the same as the suit. The mirror-finish visor, the headphones fitted over the helmet, and the folds of the open jacket are worked with the same care in every color.

At 96 cm, the figure stands with arms open on a round, flat base; at 110 cm, it steps forward on an angular white base. Offered in gold, blue, and silver, the resin sculpture is displayed on the floor in a corner of the living room or in the entryway.
