About the piece

A lantern lit by the door has long shown travelers where home is. In this sculpture, the astronaut steps out on a cratered moon sphere and holds its glowing balloon aloft; in a dim corner of the living room, it is both a sculpture and a light that welcomes those coming home.

Glow Moonwalk Astronaut steps out on a cratered gray moon sphere, carrying the moon balloon in its hand like a lantern. The LED inside the balloon shifts between white, green, pink, and blue light at a touch; gold-toned lines trace the craters of the moon sphere.

It runs on a USB-rechargeable battery; in a dim corner of the living room, in the entryway, or at a stair landing, it is both sculpture and light source. The 140 cm resin sculpture is offered in gold, blue, and silver.
